Jail Booking/Release:
• Jeremy S. Carson, 39, was booked into the Nemaha County Jail on 10-21-2026 on a Nemaha County Warrant for Probation Violation. He remains in custody with bond set at $10,000 cash/surety.
• Eathon Schwichtenberg, 22, Seneca was arrested by Seneca PD on 10-24-2026 on a Valley Center Municipal Warrant for Failure to Appear. Schwichtenberg was released on the same day on a $300 cash bond. Court is set for 10-28-2026 at 6:00p.m.
• Shanon Frikken, 33, St George was arrested by NMSO on 10-25-2026 on charges of Driving Under the Influence and Interference with Law Enforcement Officer. Frikken was released on the same day on a $3500 surety bond. Court is set for 11-24-2026 at 9:30a.m.

Crash Reports:
• On 10-17-2026 at 10:30a.m. Aaron Benish, 42, Glenwood, IA was traveling southbound on US 75 Highway 250 feet North of 200th Road when he struck a deer. Benish was driving a 2012 Ford Mustang.
• On 10-16-2026 at 6:30a.m. Melvin Reyes Caal, 41, Sabetha was driving westbound on US 36 Highway 106 feet East of N 9th Street in Seneca when his vehicle collided with one driven by Kimberly Domann, 46, Centralia. Reyes Caal was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Impala. Domann was driving a 2007 Pontiac G6. Under $1000 damage.
• On 10-18-2026 at 4:01p.m. William Yingling, 45, Lansing was driving westbound on US 36 Highway 0.1 mile West of W Road when his hood came unhooked causing damage to his windshield. Yingling was driving a 2016 Jeep Wrangler. Over $1000 damage.
• On 10-18-2026 at 5:43a.m. Brock Boldra, 35, Morrill was traveling westbound on US 36 Highway 0.3 miles East of N Road when he struck a deer. Boldra was driving a 2020 Ford Expedition. Over $1000 damage.
• On 10-19-2026 at 4:44a.m. Aubrey Carmen, 19, Johnson, NE was traveling northbound on Q Road 0.2 miles North of 72nd Road when she struck a deer. Carmen was driving a 2010 GMC Sierra. Over $1000 damage.

• Jesss Gustin was released to the custody of KDOC on 10-21-2026.
• Crystal Suderman was released from custody on 10-20-2026. For Seneca Municipal charges she was released on $5,000 OR bond with a court date of 12-16-2026 at 4 p.m. County charges were released on time served.
Crash Reports:
• On 10-20-2026 at 7:21a.m. Rodney Steinlage, 35, Frankfort was traveling northbound on K63 Highway 0.5 miles South of 116th Road when he struck a deer. Steinlage was driving a 2017 Chevrolet C25. Over $1000 damage.
• On 10-19-2026 at 7:58 p.m. Dylan J. Schraad, 29, Baileyville was traveling west on US 36 Hwy 0.2 miles east of M Road when he struck a deer. He was driving a 2017 GMC Sierra. Under $1,000 damage.

• Tawnia K. Smith, 43, Onaga was arrested by NMSO on 10-12-2026 on a Nemaha County Warrant for Possession of Ma*****na and Paraphernalia. She was released on $1,000 bond on 10-12-2026 with a court date of 11-10-2026 at 9:30 a.m.
• Johnathan Almendares Gradiz, 33, Lincoln, NE was arrested by NMSO on 10-18-2026 on charges of No Valid Driver’s License and Transporting An Open Container. Almendares Gradiz was released on the same day on a $425 cash bond. Court is set for 11-24-2026 at 9:30a.m.
• Shantel Mewhinney, 27, Bern was arrested by NMSO on 10-15-2026 on charges of Attempted Domestic Battery. She was released on 10-16-2026 on a $1000 bond. Court is set for 11-10-2026 at 9:30a.m.
Crash Reports:
• On 10-11-2026 at 10:20a.m. Caden Weaver, 18, Barnes was traveling northbound on G Road 0.4 miles North of 72nd Road when he struck a deer. Weaver was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado. Over $1000 damage.

Update!! We are still searching for the owner.

The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office is still attempting to locate the owner of a 700-725 lb heifer that has been located in the Northwest part of Nemaha County on September 10, 2026. If you believe this calf might belong to you, please call the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office and speak with Sheriff Vernon to identify and claim the animal at 785-336-2311. There will be a feeding charge associated with the recovery of the animal!

• Benjamin Preston, 51, Kelly was arrested by NMSO on 10-3-2026 for the offense of Domestic Battery. He was released on 10-4-2026 on $2,000 bond with a court date of 10-27-2026 at 9:30 a.m.
• Christopher Whitaker, 23, Washington was arrested by NMS on 10-11-2026 on charge of Possession of Hallucinogenic Drug and Possess Paraphernalia. He was released on the same day on a $1500 bond. Court is set 11-10-2026 at 9:30a.m.
• Kyle Morey, 35, Fairview was arrested by Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks on 10-10-2026 on charges of Boating Under the Influence. Morey was released on the same day on $1000 bond. Court is set for 11-10-2026 at 9:30a.m.

Crash Reports:
• On 9-19-2026 at 8:30p.m. Eric Breeding, 45, Centralia was traveling southbound on W Road 0.5 miles South of 84th Road when he struck a deer. Breeding was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado.
• On 10-4-2026 at 8:20p.m. Blake Feldkamp, 16, Centralia was traveling westbound on K9 Highway 0.7 miles West of Q Road when he lost control of his vehicle causing it to leave the roadway. Feldkamp was driving 1991 Chevrolet S10. Over $1000 damage.
