Oconee County is a premier location for manufacturing not just in South Carolina, but in America! We have the fifth (5th) highest percentage of jobs in manufacturing and the tenth (10th) highest number of manufacturing jobs among South Carolina's forty-six counties.

Here are a few pics taken today that demonstrate why Oconee County is truly a "Top Shelf for Business" location. These awesome Oconee Economic Alliance (OEA) facilitated projects (Meyn America's new 200,000+ SF North American Headquarters and Manufacturing Campus, Horton's 110,000 SF expansion, and Baxter Manufacturing's 35,000 SF expansion) under construction at the Oconee Industry and Technology Park (OITP) represent a combined investment of over $81 million and 233 new jobs. Additionally, the OEA announced in June that Mosdorfer will locate its North American operations at OITP. The project will bring an additional $44.5 million in investment and 107 new jobs to the park.

When these four projects are completed, OITP will be home to approximately 640 manufacturing jobs and over $200 million in private investment!

More exciting industrial development underway in Oconee County with Baxter Manufacturing’s expansion! The new addition is progressing well and Oconee County is proud to have assisted one of our premier manufacturers with this outstanding project. We appreciate and thank Baxter for their commitment to invest and grow in Oconee County. Existing industry is our top priority and we couldn’t be happier to see the amazing things Baxter and other manufacturers are doing throughout the county!

It was another Top Shelf for Business Day on June 3, 2026, when Austrian-based Mosdorfer announced they were locating their first North American facility in Oconee County! It was an exciting day for the Mosdorfer, Oconee County and South Carolina. The 300-year-old, 12th-generation family-owned business will invest nearly $45 million in the new facility and create an estimated 107 jobs. Some business scenes from around Oconee County this past week! Nearly $100 million of new investment and over 360 new jobs anticipated in these pics.

1. Target set to open July 26. This is anticipated to be a $27 million investment that will create 150 new jobs.

2. Meyn America’s HQ and Manufacturing Campus is progressing well and is expected to open 2nd Quarter 2027. This is anticipated to be a $50 million investment that will create 172 new jobs.

3. RBC Aerostructures in Westminster is growing and has added new jobs since January.

4. Lift Tek’s expansion in Westminster is nearing completion. This is anticipated to be a $20 million investment that will create 41 new jobs.

5. Business at CG Roxanne (Crystal Geyser) in Salem is growing. The operation bottles 350,000 16 oz bottles of spring water daily at their Oconee facility.

6. The Collins Building in Westminster which offers excellent manufacturing space, for lease or lease with the option to purchase, has installed new LED lighting in its production area.
