Has anyone seen this sweet dog?
"Bob is a Veteran Explosives K9 and service dog. He didn’t have a collar on, has one half of one of his ears missing, is a bobtail, and has mild PTSD to loud noises. He is trusting but can be shy. He may have been picked up or wandered off from our home on Kapok & 43 Hwy yesterday."
My name is Chandler Wyrick and you can reach me at (417) 850-0696 or my husband Robbie Wyrick (417) 499-7725
The RECYCLE CENTER will be CLOSED for the rest of the week.
Please stay safe and warm.
Republic Services informed us they had some trouble today when emptying the poly carts. Evidently, moisture has gotten into the carts and froze some of the trash to the bottom of the carts. Therefore, not all trash is emptying out of some carts. They just wanted residents to be aware of why there could be some trash left in their carts.
As for the weather conditions.... not sure if Republic was done with Seneca before the weather moved in. If not, they may have difficulty navigating some areas.
Attention THOMAS LN residents: Water samples were good so the BOIL NOTICE has been lifted.
Have a good weekend!
Attention: All THOMAS LN residents are under a boil notice until further notification.
Attention THOMAS LN residents:
Public Works is getting ready to shut off water for an installation. If all goes according to plan, water should be back on around 4:00 or 5:00.
Thank you
The call just came through that TRASH SERVICE has been canceled for today.
Due to the upcoming weather, it is uncertain when trash will be picked up for this week, if at all.
Thanks!

The street is being cut about half-way up Cherry St. in order to connect new construction to the city sewer. There should not be any water turn-offs involved. Just letting residents know in case they have plans to be on that street. Thank you.
Trash pickup will be on the regular scheduled routes next week... if anyone was wondering.

BOIL NOTICE has been lifted as water samples were good.
BOIL NOTICE in effect until Tuesday unless notified beforehand.
This affects Valley St. and residents at that point north of Valley St. on Cherokee.
In case anyone is wondering - and some are - trash pick-up is on its normal day of Wednesday this week. Some residents were wondering because of today being a holiday.
We will be holding a tire collection event at the Lost Creek Recycling Center Oct. 18-22! Check out the flyer for more details.
REMINDER: Because of the Labor Day holiday, trash pickup will be on Thursday this week.
The Recycle Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 6 for Labor Day.
The Boil Order Advisory has been lifted as water sample came back clear.
A “Water Boil Advisory” has been issued from the Seneca Water Department for the areas in and around the Hansen Addition and Strait Street. Public Works is currently working to repair a water line and restore service.
Here is the City's firework ordinance. We received a private message asking about it. However, when posting to the reply, the original message and our reply disappeared. So, in case anyone else would like to know the ordinance, this is it:
Section 215.580
Fireworks — Sale and Use Limited.
No person, firm or corporation shall either sell, offer for sale, give away, discharge, set off, ignite or use any firecracker, firework, sky rocket, torpedo, pinwheel, Roman candle or any substance consisting of chlorate of potash and sulphur except that said activities may be engaged in beginning at 8:00 A.M. on the tenth (10th) day prior to the fourth (4th) of July, until Midnight on July fourth (4th) in any calendar year.
All ordinances are online at www.generalcode.com and by clicking on the Missouri state on the map, it will give you a listing of cities to choose from.
From online municipal codes to interactive zoning maps, General Code's goal is to empower everyone in our client communities to rise, transform, and thrive.
