A good man for an extremely important job in Washington State!

A good man for an extremely important job in Washington State!

We want to thank those who were excited about Dave’s announcement on Monday. The overwhelming message we heard from you loud and clear is that Dave is sorely needed on our state's highest court and that you want him there.

We can't do it without you, though. Consider donating to the cause. We need to build a large war chest so that a clear message is sent that Dave is the person to beat for this position. He was outspent 3 to 1 in 2024 and still only lost by .61%. Just imagine what we could do with better funding directly from you.

Judge Dave Larson spent 18 years on the front lines as a trial judge seeing the real-world consequences of a Supreme Court that does not understand its role. He will be the voice of common sense that our state's highest court desperately needs. It’s time to get back to the basics of the law, the Constitution, and common sense. We have the cure with Dave!

With your early support we can close that gap & bring common sense to the bench! Join the team! at www.larsonforjustice.com

Please let your voice be heard about this bad bill...

2SSB 6182 is scheduled for public hearing in the House Committee on Appropriations at 8 am on March 5 (Thursday.)

This anti-life bill would require all insurance companies to pay into a special fund from which the state would make grants to "eligible organizations" to provide abortions.

https://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary/?BillNumber=6182&Year=2025&Initiative=false

The bill has been modified from earlier versions. However, none of the problems inherent to the original bill have been corrected. Please OPPOSE this bill, using one of the methods set forth in the web site above. Or leave a Legislative Hotline message by calling 1 (800) 562-6000. You can use more than one method to object.

SS SB 6182 would:

Force ALL individuals and families to support abortion through their insurance enrollment;
Create a permanent, automatic funding mechanism for abortion outside the normal budget process;
Remove transparency and accountability by shifting costs away from the general fund;
Offer no conscience protections for individuals, employers, or carriers;
Prioritize abortion funding, through a costly administrative program, while the state faces a $4.5B deficit and other critical needs remain underfunded.

The current administration in Olympia WA is not working for the people’s’ best interests. To degrade the right of initiative that has been set out in our State Constitution is just wrong. This is an election year. Remember when you get ready to vote that there needs to be a changing of the leadership and representation at our state capitol, and vote Republican - for a positive change. Meanwhile, let your reps know your thoughts about the bills they are passing, which affect every aspect of our lives and pocketbooks!

The results are in! People like WA’s Initiative Process and are strongly against The Initiative Killer Bill 2.0 (SB 5973) from Legislative Democrats. There is strong bi-partisan opposition to SB 5973 too, with nearly 90% Signing-in CON out of over 11,700 people.

Legislative Democrats should listen to the people and let this bill die.

Even though the legislature doesn’t reconvene until this coming January, we just stay vigilant and ready to stand up together against more onerous taxes which especially hurt the rural areas.

THE MILEAGE TAX: Earlier this year, the public and Legislative Republicans defeated The Mileage Tax from Olympia Democrats for the third year in a row.

Legislative Republicans and the public fought this terrible proposal every step of the way. Thank you to everyone who Signed-in CON against The Mileage Tax (HB 1921/SB 5726)!

Olympia Democrats want to charge you a 2.6-cent mileage tax on EVERY MILE YOU DRIVE (HB 1921 & SB 5726). Even worse, you would get taxed on an additional 10% of your annual mileage tax sum. A TAX ON A TAX.

The Mileage Tax scheme comes from the Inslee-appointed WA Transportation Commission. These terrible policies would especially harm people on fixed incomes, ride-share drivers, truckers, delivery services, and those living in rural areas.

Stay vigilant, The Mileage Tax may return next year.

Higher taxes, less affordability, Washington state is losing out as individuals, families and businesses leave for more “business-friendly” states. Those of us remaining in the state will bear the brunt of a higher cost of living and tougher regulations under which to operate a small business. Think about this when we have our next opportunity to elect representatives - and vote for those individuals who will use common sense and actually care about our state’s families and small businesses! Paul Guppy has an excellent report - see it here:

In Clallam County, the county commissioners are looking to increase property taxes by approximately 38%. They will be meeting to discuss it. You can weigh in by attending their meeting or by emailing your thoughts.

Per Kaj Ahlburg, the Clallam County proposed levy lid lift involves a 38.2% increase in the Clallam County property tax from $0.7598 per $1,000 of assessed value to $1.05 https://www.clallamcountywa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/23516/DRAFT-Levy-Lid-Increase-7-30-25 . You may want to provide your input and encourage your friends to do so.

The public hearing as to whether this tax increase should be placed on the ballot this November is on July 30 at 1 pm and there will be information sessions on January 29 at 1 pm and 5 pm, all in the Commissioner’s Board Room at the County Courthouse. Public comment can be submitted to [email protected] .

Watching the bills that are being pre-filed in Olympia. Some interesting ones that will raise our cost of living more. It’s what happens when we have a one party system in control of our beautiful state of Washington. Sad.

Hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas, remembering the Reason for the Season.

Regardless of your political party affiliation or no affiliation, we desperately need a changing of the guard at our state and national levels of representative government. Cost of living has skyrocketed due to poor decisions on the part of our legislators and we have all branches of government in Washington state held by one party for way too long. It’s time for some common sense representation of the people, with attention toward reducing taxes, regulations, overseeing the agencies with all of their rules, putting families first, instead of special interest groups. the only way to change direction is to vote. Please vote in the primary election on August 6, get your ballot in as soon as possible and then check to be sure that your ballot has been received and accepted.
