Sequim Food Bank

Sequim Food Bank The Sequim Food Bank is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides food to our community. We are a community-supported organization.

Our goal is to ensure that "No one goes hungry in our Community." We strive to highlight five core values in our work:

• Compassion and Respect: Turn no one away from services and always encourage positive relationships with clients and the community.

• Stewardship & Sustainability – Be responsible stewards of our resources with focus on providing well maintained, safe facility and equipment a

nd minimizing waste as possible.

• Education & Prevention – Commit to promoting healthy eating while reducing hunger and striving to understand, eliminate and prevent the root causes of hunger.

• Collaboration & Cooperation – Engage and involve a network of community members.

• Diversity & Multiculturalism – Understand the diverse individual and cultural needs in our community. The Sequim Food Bank assisted more than 2,100 different families at least once in 2014. Approximately 30% of the food we send "out the door" helps to feed a child under the age of 18; approximately 20% helps to feed an adult over the age of 55. Food drives and donations from local groceries account for much of the food we distribute, while financial contributions allow us to maintain a regular supply of important basics like milk and eggs. Volunteers are the heart of our operation. The Sequim Food Bank has more than 50 active adult volunteers and more than a dozen active youth volunteers.

🥜 The Peanut Butter Drive is Back! 🥜

Our annual Peanut Butter Drive is returning, and we need your help to fill our shelves with one of the most requested pantry items we provide.

Join us June 19–21 from 11 AM–3 PM at Walmart, QFC, and Safeway and donate a jar of peanut butter to help local families facing food insecurity.

Peanut butter is nutritious, shelf-stable, kid-friendly, and always in high demand. Every jar makes a difference.

Thank you for helping keep Everyone at the Table.

❤️ A Jar Can Go a Long Way

When our community comes together, amazing things happen.

This June 19–21, you'll find Sequim Food Bank volunteers at Walmart, QFC, and Safeway collecting donations for our Annual Peanut Butter Drive. Peanut butter is a pantry staple that helps provide protein-rich meals and snacks for local families, seniors, and children.

If you're able, please consider picking up an extra jar during your shopping trip and dropping it in one of our donation barrels.

Together, we can make sure our shelves stay stocked and continue helping our neighbors when they need it most. 🥜💙
