Today our families Prayers were answered. The Burned Children Recovery Foundation received a $45,000.00 check from Mr. Stanley Chambers from the proceeds from their 10th annual fundraiser, Sunland Concert in the Park, AKA Sage Creek Music Festival that Tom Finken and Big Jim May started in 2016. Stanley Chambers and his family and friends took over the fundraiser in 2020 and moved it to Sunland Community after Tom Finken lost his life in 2016.
Big Jim May continues to raise funding with his annual Wine and Roses fundraiser for the burned children and donated $5,000.00 to this year's totals.
It has been a difficult year for our families because of lack of funding received. This life changing funding came just in time to help our children return to school by providing counseling costs to help them with the bulling they will receive in school. This funding will also be used to pay for children's school clothing to give them pride and also pay for the children's outside activities costs to keep them from hiding and re-build their self-esteem. We are 100% volunteer staff and need your help.
