The Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture, located at the University of Washington campus in Seattle, is pleased to offer free guest tickets for tribal members.

NIEA is excited to announce the extended deadline for workshop proposals for the 56th Annual NIEA Convention & Trade Show in Spokane, WA, on October 8-11, 2025! 📢✨ This year’s theme is "Empowering Sovereignty: Our Legacies, Our Futures." We are looking for dynamic workshops that align with this theme and focus on advancing Native education, honoring our traditions, and empowering Native communities for the future.

Do you have insights, strategies, or research to share that can advance Native education? We want workshops that inspire, inform, and empower educators, students, and advocates.

🎓 Student Day proposals are also open! If you have an engaging session designed for Native youth, we want to hear from you! Student Day will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025.

Jamestown Family Reading is back for Spring!
Indigenous youth ages 6 to 11 and their families can join the library for a weekly night of storytelling, reading, discussions, and family meals. The program will be:
Monday Evenings, 5:15pm to 7pm
Dungeness River Nature
Our theme is “Sustain”
We’ll be having conversations/discussions around the impacts of global warming, coastal land loss, sea level rising, and other environmental challenges.
