"Three Kids Lost Their Home. Let's Help Them Smile Again."

Early this morning, a Sergeant Bluff family lost their home in a fire. While the family's immediate needs are being met, they have graciously allowed the Sergeant Bluff Police Department and Fire Department to help bring some comfort to their three children.

We are collecting NEW toys and gifts through Sunday, June 7th at 6:00 PM.

• Anything girly

❗ Please note: The children do NOT need clothing.

🛴🚲 Lock It or Lose It! 🚲🛴

The Sergeant Bluff Police Department has recently received reports involving stolen e-bikes and e-scooters. These items are often targeted because they can be quickly ridden away and are easy to sell.

If you own an e-bike or e-scooter, please take a few extra moments to secure it:
🔒 Lock it up when left unattended, even if it's only for a short time.
🏠 Store it inside a garage or residence whenever possible.
📸 Keep a record of the serial number and a recent photo of the device.

Parents, we also ask for your help. If your child comes home with an e-bike or e-scooter that you did not purchase and cannot explain where it came from, please contact law enforcement. Reporting suspicious circumstances can help us return stolen property to its rightful owner and hold offenders accountable.

Working together, we can help keep Sergeant Bluff a safe community and protect our neighbors' property.

Do you know where your kids are❓❔❓

With summer almost here, remember that the City of Sergeant Bluff has an ordinance under section SB/46.01 covering juvenile curfew hours. The curfew hours are as follows:

🔵 Under 14 years of age: 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
🟢 14 and 15 years of age: 11:00 p.m. to 6:00
a.m.
🟡 16 and 17 years of age: 12:00 a.m. (Midnight) to 6:00 a.m.

Additionally, the City of Sergeant Bluff has a park curfew between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.

Citations or arrests may occur for violations of city ordinances.

Community Memo Regarding a short-term traffic flow interruption on May 24th @ 2pm in association with a Special Event in Sergeant Bluff: At Approximately 2pm on Sunday, May 24, 2026 the “Thunder on the Missouri River” Patriotic Motorcycle & Vehicle Event will exit the Community Center Parking lot (903 Topaz Dr) with approximately 300+ motorcycles/vehicles and head north on S. Lewis Blvd, turn east on 1st Street, and then north on Old Lakeport Road to Lakeport. Please be patient as this will interrupt the flow of traffic. An image is attached to this post with a map.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day weekend, the Sergeant Bluff Police Department would like to remind everyone to take a moment to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.

If you are traveling this weekend, please drive safely, buckle up, avoid distracted driving, and never drive impaired. Our officers will be out working to help keep our community and roadways safe for everyone.

🐾 A Friendly Reminder About Sergeant Bluff’s Leash Ordinance 🐾

With warmer weather here, we’re seeing more neighbors and their four-legged friends out enjoying our parks, trails, and neighborhoods — and we love to see it! ☀️🐶

As a reminder, dogs should be kept on a leash when off their owner’s property unless they are in a designated off-leash area. Leashes help keep pets safe, prevent unexpected encounters, and ensure everyone can comfortably enjoy our shared public spaces.

Even the most well-behaved dogs can become distracted or startled, so keeping them leashed helps protect your pet, other animals, and fellow community members.

Thank you for helping keep Sergeant Bluff safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone — both two-legged and four-legged! 🐕❤️

Sadly, there have been 2 devastating losses this week alone, and 4 so far this year. 💔

As we head into the hottest months of the year, remember to look out for our littlest passengers:

1️⃣ Always check the back seat.
2️⃣ Lock your vehicle doors.
3️⃣ If you see a child alone in a hot car, call 911 immediately.
