The City of Seven Hills invites residents to join us on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 10:00am at Seven Hills City Hall, 7325 Summitview Drive, for a solemn ceremony of remembrance marking the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001.

We will come together to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day while we also remember the first responders, safety personnel, and countless others whose courage and sacrifice continue to shape our great nation.

Twenty-five years later, we remember not only the tragedy, but also the extraordinary unity, strength, and resilience that emerged in its aftermath.

Please join us as we remember, reflect, and ensure that we never forget.

⚾ What an amazing wrap-up to an eventful week in Seven Hills! ⚾

On Friday, August 28th - a picture perfect day for baseball - friends, residents, and guests came together to celebrate the dedication of Richard A. Ganim, Sr. Ballfield at Meijer Park.

The ceremony included stories and comments from Master of Ceremony Mayor Biasiotta, North Royalton Mayor Paul Marnecheck (grandson of former Mayor Ganim), and resident Pierre Bejjani, President of C.A.M.E.O, a local Middle Eastern organization that was co-founded by Mayor Ganim.

The Ceremonial First Pitch - an obvious strike - was thrown by Mayor Marnecheck, caught by Richard A. Ganim III.

"It's important for the city to respect and honor past contributions. Dedications like these help us understand our history, and often times, teach us lessons that can be applied to the future." said Biasiotta. "I can't imagine what our city would be like had Mayor Ganim not secured the land that would become Meijer Park.

Fans gathered for the ceremony, stayed for delicious food, and even caught a ballgame, as the event was the official kick-off for our Co-Ed Softball League.

Thank you to everyone who worked hard to make this a success, and those that came out for this meaningful celebration ⚾

Today marks five years since 13 members of the United States Armed Forces lost their lives at Abbey Gate in Kabul, Afghanistan, on August 26, 2021. This morning, the City of Seven Hills came together to honor these 13 American heroes and remember the courage, service, and sacrifice they gave to our country and others.

Mayor Tony Biasiotta welcomed Marilyn Soviak Dubbert, sister of HM Maxton W. Soviak of Ohio; U.S. Navy Veteran Joe Burdick; Ohio State Senator Jane Timken, 29th District; Ohio State Representative Haraz Ghanbari, 75th District; and our community as we gathered to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The ceremony included a moving tribute by American Legion Ohio Post #572, the National Anthem performed by Hayden Grove, and prayer led by Father Doug Brown, Cleveland Police Chaplain.

We encourage our community to take a moment to say the names of each of the 13 service members, ensuring their lives, stories, and sacrifices are remembered.

We are grateful to everyone who joined us today to honor these brave men and women. Five years later, their service still matters. Their sacrifice still matters. And their names must never be forgotten.

Today and always, Seven Hills remembers.❤️🤍🩵
