ROAD WORK NOTICE

Asphalt rehabilitation will begin at the intersection of Timber Ridge Parkway and Ponderosa Drive. The intersection will be closed for the duration of the project, which is expected to take approximately three days, weather permitting.

Once work is completed at the Timber Ridge intersection, crews will transition to the intersection of Scotch Pine Drive and Audubon Boulevard, where a temporary closure will also be necessary for approximately three days.

Please plan for delays, use alternate routes when possible, and drive carefully in work zones. Thank you for your patience as these improvements are completed.

- Ordinance 2026-04: An Ordinance of the Town Council of the Town of Severance, Colorado, amending Article 6 of Chapter 7 of the Severance Municipal Code to reduce the term of dog and cat licenses, to establish a December 31 expiration date, and to require
owners to provide an owner identification tag for the animal

The threat of large to very large hail is increasing for this afternoon, especially for areas around I-70 from just east of Downtown Denver to the Kansas Border (hail of 3+ inches will be possible). Make sure you have multiple ways to receive warnings and take the necessary safety precautions if a warning is issued for your area!

A Tornado Watch will be in effect for areas primarily east of I-25, excluding some of the northeastern plains counties, through 9PM this evening. Tornadoes, very large hail, and strong winds will all be possible with today’s storms. Please stay weather aware today and have a plan in case a tornado or severe thunderstorm warning is issued!

Weld County residents still have time to register for an upcoming free electronic waste recycling event hosted by the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment’s Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) program in the town of Frederick.

This popular e-waste event is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Frederick High School, 5690 Tipple Parkway. Learn more at www.weld.gov.
