The Town of Severance is located in Northern Colorado and features some of the richest farmland in the State. It lies in close proximity to Windsor, Fort Collins, Greeley, Eaton and Loveland. While still a small town with the feel of an agricultural community, the Town of Severance held the distinction of being the fastest growing community in Northern Colorado for several years.

At the Town Council Meeting on August 25th, Mayor Fries signed a proclamation for Su***de Awareness and Prevention Month.

The proclamation calls upon residents to work together to strengthen connections, foster hope, support mental well-being, and promote su***de prevention efforts throughout our community. Accepting the proclamation is a representative from North Range Behavioral Health

Mosquito Fogging Tonight

Additional mosquito fogging is scheduled for tonight, Thursday, August 27, at dusk, weather permitting. While mosquito fogging in our area typically takes place on Wednesday evenings, crews will be fogging in some areas tonight.

Please check the Town’s website to see if your area is included in tonight’s fogging schedule.

There will be a Town Council Meeting TONIGHT 8/25, Work Session starting at 5pm and the Regular Meeting to start at 6pm.
Some Items on the Agenda Include:
- Town Council Member Appointment
- An Ordinance of the Town Council of Town of Severance, Colorado, Amending Chapter 2, Article 7 of the Severance Municipal Code Regarding the Composition, Membership, and Officers of the Youth Council
- An Ordinance of the Town Council of the Town of Severance, Colorado, amending section R405.1.2 of the International Residential Code in section 18-2-30, "amendments," of the Severance Municipal Code regarding drainage systems
- Resolution 2026-26R: A Resolution of the Town Council of the Town of Severance, Colorado, establishing a policy of institutional neutrality regarding ballot measures of other governmental entities
- Resolution 2026-27R: A Resolution of the Town Council of the Town of Severance, Colorado, authorizing the purchase of the real property located at 145 East 4th Ave. in the Town of Severance, Colorado and approving the contract pertaining thereto.
