Sevier County Celebrates America 250 is almost here, and we are looking forward to an evening filled with community, patriotism, and celebration in downtown Sevierville.

Join us on Friday, June 26, at the historic Sevier County Courthouse for this free, family-friendly event as we kick off our America 250 celebration.
Festivities begin at 6:30 PM, followed by a live performance by recording artist and NBC’s The Voice Season 12 winner Chris Blue, and then a patriotic fireworks show at dusk over downtown.

Bring your family, come early, and be part of an unforgettable night as we celebrate our nation’s history and the spirit of Sevier County!

What a wonderful day at the Sevier County Memorial Day Ceremony. Thank you to all the members of the community that came out to support the event. Good morning Sevier County. Please pass on a reminder to your friends and family about the upcoming Memorial Day event at the courthouse on May 25th. Once again we will have Grunt Style, Nine Line Apparel and Hibachi Barn at the event. Please come out and support these businesses at the event if at all possible. The ceremony starts at 11am.

Sevier County Veterans Services will be closed tomorrow, April 29th, 2026 due to mandatory state training. We will reopen at normal time on Thursday April 30th, 2026.

SEYMOUR — The Sevier County Veterans Services Office didn't have to look far to find the next Korean Ambassador of Peace Medal recipient.

Tonight we had the amazing opportunity to present Mr. Ernest Justus, SSG, U.S. Army, the Korean War Ambassador of Peace Medal. Ernest, 94, the oldest of 9, served during the Korean War earning the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Korean Service Medal. Ernest's younger brother, Billy Justus, 92, was presented the Ambassador of Peace Medal in 2025.
