Sevier County Social Media sites that allow posts are limited public forums and are moderated by County staff. All posted content (comments, photos, links, etc.) must be related to the discussion of County programs, services, projects, issues, events, and activ

ities. The following are prohibited on Sevier County Social Media sites:

• Comments not topically related to County programs, services, projects, issues, events, and activities, or the particular post being commented upon
• Posts and comments that promote or advertise commercial services, entities, or products except as stipulated in County marketing plans and determined by the County to be essential to economic development
• Political statements, including comments that endorse or oppose political candidates or ballot propositions
• Religious statements, including comments that endorse or oppose any type of religious opinions or activities
• Posts and comments that promote, foster, or perpetuate discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, gender identity, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability, or sexual orientation
• Posts and comments that include vulgar, offensive, threatening, or harassing language, personal attacks, or unsupported accusations
• Obscene or sexual content or links to obscene or sexual content illegal activity or encouragement of illegal activity
• Information that may compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems.
• Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party

Sevier County Fire-Rescue Responds to Early Morning Structure Fire on Garden Hill Court

Sevier County, Tennessee (June 18, 2026) - Sevier County Fire-Rescue responded to a reported structure fire in the area of Garden Hill Court at approximately 3:16 AM on Thursday, June 18, 2026.

Upon arrival, crews found a working structure fire and began immediate suppression efforts. The fire is currently under control, and no additional structures were damaged or threatened. There were no reported injuries; however, two animals were unable to escape the structure.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Sevier County Fire Marshal’s Office.

Sevier County Fire-Rescue received assistance from Waldens Creek Volunteer Fire Department, Pigeon Forge Fire Department, Seymour Volunteer Fire Department, Caton’s Chapel Richardson Cove Volunteer Fire Department, City of Sevierville Fire Department, Northview Kodak Volunteer Fire Department, Pittman Center Volunteer Fire Department, Blount County Fire Protection District, and the Tennessee Division of Forestry.

Additional support was provided by Sevier County E-911, Sevier County Sheriff’s Office, Sevier County Ambulance Service, Sevier County Water Department and Sevier County Electric System.

Sevier County officials extend their appreciation to all assisting agencies for their coordinated response and continued support.

Their work goes beyond a single program. It is about building a healthier, safer, and stronger community.

The Sevier County Office of Alcohol & Drug Programs works alongside community partners to provide prevention education, resources, and support to help reduce the impact of substance misuse on individuals, families, and our community.

Services and support include:
• Prevention education for youth, families, and schools
• Overdose prevention and Narcan education to help save lives
• Connections to treatment, mental health, and recovery resources
• Partnerships with law enforcement, schools, healthcare providers, and local, state, and federal agencies
• Tools and resources to help families make informed decisions and find support when they need it
• Drug Endangered Children (DEC) support and coordination to identify and assist children impacted by substance misuse

Trusted and Confidential Support
The Office follows strict privacy and confidentiality practices, including HIPAA requirements where applicable, to ensure individuals and families receive support in a safe and respectful environment.

Substance misuse impacts many families, but prevention, education, connection, and compassion can make a difference. Every conversation matters. Every partnership matters. Every person matters.

Motorists are advised of developing roadway issues on Boyds Creek Highway near Rippling Waters Circle, where multiple sinkholes have formed and continue to expand.

TDOT is currently on site assessing the situation and making necessary repairs.

Traffic will be impacted in this area while crews work to resolve the issue. Drivers are urged to use caution, expect delays, and consider alternate routes if possible.

We appreciate your patience as crews work to ensure the safety of the traveling public.
