The Sevierville Community Center will transition to the summer indoor pool schedule beginning June 1, 2026 and continuing through September 7, 2026.

We will remain on our regular schedule on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Summer closures will occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

What: Registration Begins For Youth Basketball Clinics

The Sevierville Parks and Recreation Department will accept registration for a series of youth basketball clinics beginning Thursday, May 21. The first clinic will begin on June 3, 2026. Each clinic includes three sessions. Clinics will offer two age groups, 7-9 years old and 10-12 years old.

The cost of each clinic is $40 per participant, which includes all three sessions. Each clinic is limited to eight participants and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sessions will be held from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. for the 7-9 year old age group, and from 6:45 p.m.-7:45 p.m. for the 10-12 year old age group.

• June clinic session dates are June 3, 10 and 17. Registration deadline for the June clinic is June 2.
• July clinic session dates are July 1, 8 and 15. Registration deadline for the July clinic is June 30.

What: Sevierville Outdoor Family Aquatic Center Opens Memorial Day Weekend
Where: Sevierville City Park, 1005 Park Road

The City of Sevierville Department of Parks and Recreation announces the opening of the outdoor Family Aquatic Center (outdoor pool, slide and splash play area) at City Park (1005 Park Road) on Saturday, May 23.

The operating hours for the season are 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday. (The Family Aquatic Center will close at 4:00 p.m. due to swim meets on June 16 and July 14.)

Daily admission is $6.00 for adults; $5.00 for children and senior adults. Children 3-years old and under are admitted free. Passes good for 20 visits to the outdoor pool during the 2026 season are available for $65.00.

Please note: outside food and drinks are not allowed. A full-service concessions area is available during pool operating hours, and complimentary water is available at two locations inside the pool area.

Due to a 5K road race on Saturday morning, May 16, the Sevierville Community Center will open late at 9:00 a.m. The road race begins and ends at the Community Center, and for the safety of the runners the Community Center opening will be delayed.

Along with the delayed opening of the building, the 8:30 a.m. Pedal & Pump class will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Yesterday, we celebrated our annual Arbor Day with a wonderful day at the park. The event included a youth disc golf tournament and a special tree planting, where the kids helped plant a beautiful dogwood tree.

Congratulations to Piper Bazley for winning the tournament, great job!

What: Northview Optimist Park to Close for Maintenance
Where: 329 West Dumplin Valley Road, Kodak
When: Monday, May 4-Wednesday, May 6, 2026

The greenway loop at Northview Optimist Park, located at 329 West Dumplin Valley Road in Kodak, will undergo resurfacing work that will necessitate the complete closure of the park to all users beginning Monday, May 4. Weather and other conditions permitting, the work will be completed on Wednesday, May 6 and the park will fully reopen on Thursday morning May 7.

The Sevierville Parks and Recreation Department is accepting registration for the inaugural Arbor Day Youth Disc Golf Tournament. This will be a FREE disc golf tournament designed for young players of all skill levels!
The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29 at Northview Optimist Park, 329 W Dumplin Valley Road in Kodak. Two divisions are available-ages 7-9 years old and 10-12 years old. Each division will be capped at twenty players.
The Sevierville Arbor Day Youth Open is a free, family-friendly disc golf tournament aimed at introducing youth to the sport while encouraging outdoor activity and environmental appreciation. Whether participants are brand new to disc golf or already have experience, this event offers a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone to learn, play, and have fun.
All participants that register by April 21 will receive a tournament t-shirt. Refreshments and snacks will be available throughout the event. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in each age group. Registration will close on April 28 at midnight.
To make the event accessible to everyone, disc golf discs will be provided by the city. No prior experience or personal equipment is required, just bring a positive attitude and be ready to enjoy an evening outdoors!
