You know what season it is... It's Farmers Market Season! 🍅🌽🥕

This summer, you'll find me at the Seymour Farmers Market, TN , sharing cooking demonstrations, food preservation tips, and pressure-canner lid testing.

Stop by the Fresh Kitchen to see what's cooking, learn a new recipe, and discover ways to make the most of fresh local produce.

My first booth appearance is on Saturday, June 20th. I hope to see you there!

We will answer these questions, and many more at our “Gardening in Tennessee Clay” panel on June 26th from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Williams Family Seymour Branch Library. Local professionals and Master Gardeners will join us to share their insight and experience.

Come learn some tips on soil amendments, improving drainage, plant selection, and ways to garden successfully in heavy clay.

This past week, our Sevier County Extension team had the opportunity to attend the New Employee Conference in Knoxville!

Our Horticulture Agent, Cat Lawson, 4-H Agent Danielle Rinker, and 4-H Program Assistant KJ Rule participated in a variety of sessions focused on strengthening their skills and knowledge to better serve our community. Topics included time management, crisis communication, work-life balance, leading effective meetings, and working with volunteers.

They also had the chance to tour the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and the beautiful University of Tennessee Gardens! 🌿🐾

We’re excited to bring back new ideas, tools, and energy to continue growing and improving our programs here in Sevier County! 💚🍀
