⚠️ Power Outage Notice – Village of Seville

The Seville Board of Public Affairs is aware of the large power outage currently affecting portions of the village. Utility crews have been notified and are actively working to locate the issue and restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

At this time, we ask residents not to inundate dispatch with calls regarding the outage, as it has already been reported and crews are responding.

📞 Please only call dispatch if you have an active emergency that requires police, fire, or EMS assistance.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while crews work to resolve the issue. Further updates will be shared as information becomes available.

Today, our hearts are heavy as we mourn the tragic loss of a member of the Rittman Police Department who was killed in the line of duty.

We extend our deepest condolences to the officer’s family, friends, and the entire Rittman Police Department as they face an unimaginable loss. We also keep those who responded and all law enforcement officers carrying on their duties in our thoughts and prayers.

We also hold in our hearts the family and loved ones of the victims whose lives were tragically lost in this incident.

May we never forget.

Welcome to the Annual Seville Community Yard Sale Weekend!

As we prepare for this upcoming weekend’s Annual Seville Community Yard Sale, the Seville Police Department would like to welcome both our residents and guests to another great community tradition. We hope everyone enjoys a fun, successful, and safe weekend connecting with neighbors, finding great deals, and supporting our local community.

As you prepare your yard sale setup, please take a moment to review the attached visual reminder regarding placement of signs, merchandise, and displays.

To help ensure safe travel and emergency access throughout the Village:
✅ Keep all yard sale signs, merchandise, tables, clothing racks, and displays OUT of the tree lawn/right-of-way area and placed behind the sidewalk on private property.
✅ Keep sidewalks clear and accessible for pedestrians.
✅ Follow all posted parking regulations and avoid parking in a manner that narrows travel lanes or blocks visibility.

These requirements are especially important to maintain safe passage for emergency vehicles should police, fire, or EMS need to respond quickly through our neighborhoods.

With everyone’s cooperation, we can make this an enjoyable and safe weekend for all.

🚨 Road Closed 🚨 May 22, 2026 at 14:12

State Route 3, north of Circle K, is closed due to a traffic crash near State Route 3 and Blake Road.

If you are traveling from Interstate 76 and headed north on State Route 3, you will not be able to go beyond Circle K.

If you are southbound on State Route 3 coming from Medina, you will not be able to go beyond Kennard Road.

If you are westbound on Blake Road, you will not be able to go beyond Hubbard Valley Road.

Please avoid the area until further notice and seek an alternate route.

Due to the sudden downpour, we are seeing spotty flooding on roadways throughout the village.

This creates an increased risk of hydroplaning, so motorists are urged to slow down, use caution, and avoid standing water when possible. If you encounter flooded areas, consider taking an alternate route or waiting for conditions to improve.

Stay alert and drive safely.
