Good news!! Soarin Group, the county’s IT provider, completed the microphone project in the Commissioners’ meeting room yesterday. The sound in the room and on the recording is going to be significantly improved with the new microphones.

Unfortunately, because the preparation and installation process of the new microphones was ongoing, there is no video recording of the August 25th meeting. Because of past instances of the video not recording audio, our office has continued to record the audio from the meetings the way it was recorded before we started video recording. So although there won’t be video posted on YouTube of this week’s meeting, the audio IS available in our office and anyone is welcome to listen to it at any time.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. Technology is great, but sometimes it doesn’t always work the way we want it to.

The Seward County Drivers License Office IS open today, August 19, 2026.

The Driver Licensing Office is OPEN today, June 10th until 4:30 p.m. They also plan to be open in Seward on June 24th from 8:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The State is closing the Driver Licensing Office in Seward for the month of June. This is just for drivers licenses - not the Treasurer's Office.

County offices will be closed Monday, March 25th in observance of Memorial Day.

Today is Election Day! Polls are open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Things to remember -

🔴 Photo id is required

⚪️ If you applied for an early ballot, it must be returned to our office by 8 p.m. Early ballots cannot be returned to polling places

🔵 We couldn’t do this without our poll workers at all of the polling places! They’re choosing to do this for us. Please show them patience and kindness!

🔴 Friday, May 1st is the last day to register in person to vote in the May 12th Primary Election. Our office will be open until 6 p.m. that day to assist you.

🔴 Friday is also the last day our office can receive an application for an early ballot to be mailed to you. (Voters can still come in and request a ballot until 5 p.m. on May 11th.)
