A few showers and thunderstorms are possible overnight into Thursday morning. Highs stay in the 70s to low 80s through the work week before temperatures warm this weekend. Heat index values may approach 105° Sunday and Monday.

Storms are expected to develop to our west late this afternoon/evening and potentially clip portions of southeast Nebraska into the overnight hours. A few could produce some hail and gusty winds.

Summer heat returns this weekend and will likely stick around through next week. Expect high temperatures in the 90s with heat indices over 100 at times.

** Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) for a FEW severe storms in our forecast area Wednesday evening and again Thursday (most storms will be weak)

Several storms will be possible to form across the area both Wednesday and Thursday. Though there is some uncertainty as to exactly when and how widespread any severe impacts will become, the strongest storms may be capable of producing large hail and gusty winds.

Enjoy the temperatures in the 70s while we still have them. By this weekend, we'll be back in the 80s and 90s with the warm weather favored to stick around into the first week of July.
