💙Happy National Nonprofit Day!💙

From feeding families and supporting youth to protecting animals and preserving our environment, nonprofits are the heart of our communities.

Here at VCSJ, we work to support our local organizations in ensuring they have the resources they need to thrive. We would not be the center we are today without the hard work and dedication of our partners.

🤝We are stronger together, and today is a celebration of partnership, leadership, and community!🤝

In one month, we mark 25 years since 9/11. For the past 25 years, communities across the nation have worked tirelessly to honor the day through meaningful service.

We're proud to announce that this year we're teaming up with Rowan College of South Jersey, AmeriCorps, and 9/11 Day for a week of service engaging RCSJ students, staff, and community partners in numerous volunteer projects across both campuses.

While the projects are currently being offered to the RCSJ community at this time, there are still ways you can join us! We are currently looking for Crochet Coaches and Volunteer leads to help manage the projects happening on both campuses. For all the details and to sign-up, click here: https://bit.ly/4wYckDU

Happening THIS WEEK!

Beyond Orientation: Retaining Volunteers Through Recognition, Connection & Culture
featuring Karin Henderson, CVA & Angela Williamson, CVA V.

📆 Wednesday, July 29th
at 2:00 - 3:00 pm EST

One of the biggest challenges facing volunteer leaders today isn't recruiting volunteers, it's keeping them engaged, connected, and committed long after their first shift.

What makes one organization "sticky," where volunteers return year after year, while others struggle with reliability, disengagement, or constant turnover?

Join Karin Henderson, CVA (J2K Consulting) and Angela Williamson, CVA (Volunteer Engagement Accelerator) as they explore the people strategies and operational systems behind successful volunteer retention.

In this free LIVE webinar, you'll learn:

✔️ Why volunteer retention begins before the first shift
✔️ The difference between recognition and appreciation, and why both matter
✔️ The four elements every volunteer needs to stay engaged: Purpose, Connection, Clarity, and Consistency
✔️ Discover practical ways to build stronger staff partnerships and a volunteer-friendly culture

Whether you're supporting 20 volunteers or 2,000, you'll leave with practical ideas and fresh perspectives to help volunteers feel seen, valued, and inspired to stay.

🎓 Free and Open to the Public 🎓

All registrants will receive a recording of the presentation AND bonus resources.
