Over the years, we get opportunities to work with some great neighboring police officers, retired Ross Twp Police Officer Mike Thomas was one of them. Glad to see he still out there protecting, serving, and preventing crime… even in Arizona!

Great job Mike!

In case Neville residents missed the information, our neighbors over at Coraopolis Police have had an operational change. They are transitioning over to dispatch services handled through Allegheny County 911. What that means is, they, like virtually all agencies, including ours, will use county provided dispatching for police, fire, and EMS.

Allegheny County 911 is a premier service provider. If you should need services for a relative, friend, or anyone across the river, 911 is the correct number to call.

As a refresh, while you should use 911 for any emergencies, a non-emergency number for Allegheny County 911 is 412-473-3056.

Just wondering how many people have noticed the left turn signal went live this morning on Joseph’s Ln to turn left on Camp Horne?

So we have seen a new trend, like many jurisdictions as of late.. with street “meet ups” and “take overs.” While we respect high end performance cars and several officers are into classic and muscle cars… unfortunately.. many of these end up with impromptu public road closures, where roads are lit on fire with accelerant, people hanging from vehicles as they spin out, and similar dangers.

So thank you to those who kept tipping us off to these plans in the past circulating on social media. And thank you for sharing plans for one tonight in our justification. We will be present to make sure everyone is safe tonight, if the event continues, based on the information you have shared with us from social media posts from these groups..
