When you watch how quickly a fire can spread, it really puts things into perspective.
Seconds matter. Training matters. Equipment matters. And most importantly—having a dedicated, local team ready to respond at a moment’s notice matters.
Our community is protected by the volunteers of the Franklin Park Volunteer Fire Company. These are your neighbors—people who drop everything to respond when someone is having one of the worst days of their life.
But volunteer fire companies don’t operate on goodwill alone. They rely on community support to fund lifesaving equipment, maintain vehicles, and keep training at the highest level.
If you’ve ever wondered whether your support makes a difference—the answer is yes. It absolutely does.
Whether it’s a donation, attending a fundraiser, or even considering volunteering, every bit of support helps ensure that when an emergency happens, someone is ready.
Take a moment to watch this video—and remember just how quickly things can change.
Then ask yourself: how can I help support the people who are always ready to help us?
