414th Fighter Group

The 414th Fighter Group is an Air Reserve Component (ARC) of the United States Air Force.

It is assigned to the 944th Fighter Wing of Tenth Air Force, Air Force Reserve Command, stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina.

On Sunday, June 14th, this team gathered around the oak tree behind the Compass Cafe, facilitators listed above organized and executed a forum meant to discuss current social issues and events. The purpose was to continue to develop the relationships within our unit by displaying compassion, empathy, and understanding towards one another during trying times. The event began at 12:00 and lasted until 14:00.

“The best thing we can do for one another is to listen to each other. This forum was successful in that we took the time to create a comfortable environment for the sole purpose of listening without judgment. Although we have come a long way, we still have a long way to go. Our goal of developing an atmosphere of respectful communication regardless of discriminatory factors is within our grasp.”

414 FG "Team of the Month" is our Intel team.

The 307 Fighter Squadron Intelligence Flight provides training and instructor support for the F-15E initial intelligence qualification (IIQC) course. The IIQC provides 168 hours of academic instruction to Active Duty and Reserve personnel assigned to F-15E operational units. This course provides training in the unique aspects of F-15E fighter missions, operations as well as intelligence support to the F-15E mission. The training is a combination of advanced academics, tours, exams, and practical exercises emphasizing individual research and analysis. IIQC graduates will receive a thorough understanding of squadron level support to fighter aircraft in the aerial combat environment. Successful completion of this course fulfills initial qualification training requirements for an intelligence position.
The 307 FS Intel Flight is responsible for providing a cadre of qualified instructors to execute the IIQC and ensure the training materials are up to date IAW current ACC guidance and the published master training task list (MTTL).

TAMS "Team" of the Month April 2020

Tactical Aircraft Maintenance specialists are tasked with taking care of aircraft when aircrew aren't flying them, ensuring they're repaired and maintained to be ready at any time.

TAMs involves supervising flight and crew chiefs, conducting quality assurance tests and overseeing maintenance support functions. In many regards, this role is as important to the successful deployment of Air Force aircraft as the crews who fly them.

414th all-stars, TSgt Wood and TSgt Garcia have continued to establish great rapport with Aircraft Maintenance Qualification Training, which allows TAMS to “exclusively” use the facilities to complete 5 level core task upgrade training for REG AF and TR’s by using the C & D model Grounded Instructional Training Aircraft (GITA) birds.

TAMs is just one more example of the "Team of Teams" that make the 414th Fighter Group the premiere Total Force organization in AFRC.

Check out the War Eagles at work. Maj "Slamr" Fitzsimmons and Maj "Warp" Martin (not pictured) from the 307th Fighter Squadron are leading members of the 414th Maintenance Squadron through the Virtual Reality Lab. Our maintainers got to "handle" MK-82 500 # weapons and the mighty F-15E through some basic profiles. Project Fusion is a virtual reality innovation tool used to improve the training of F-15E aircrew in the Formal Training Units at Seymour Johnson AFB. Major Fitzsimmons was instrumental in establishing this cool new toy, I mean instructional tool. , , , .
