4 MDG Audiogram scheduling expands starting 10 May 2026 to align with Total Force audiogram requirements!

How to book audiogram appointments:
📞 Starting 10 May patients may call the Central Appointment Line at (919) 722-1802 to schedule their appointment.
💻 Starting 15 May the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal scheduling tool will go LIVE giving patients the ability to book directly online at https://my.mhsgenesis.health.mil/
⏰If a member needs to cancel/reschedule, they can call the appointment line at (919) 722-1802 no later than 2 hours prior to your scheduled time to avoid a no-show.

Who needs an audiogram?
Annual Total Force- now required for ALL Active-Duty personnel regardless of workplace/hazardous noise exposure. Members should log into MyIMR via the AF Portal to see when they are due for their Annual Dental exam and subsequently book their audiogram for the same month.

Annual Hearing Conservation- still required for ALL personnel (mil/civ) who work in loud environments/exposed to hazardous noise.

Pre/Post Deployment- still required pre/post deployment, can be booked via the two above methods, or by Public Health during med processing.

Flying Status- still required for ALL members on flying status.

Retirement/Separation- required within 180 days of your DOR/DOS.

**Reminder: If you are not part of one of the above groups, we are unable to complete an audiogram on you as we do not offer diagnostic evaluations**

The attached brochure provides information for returning and/or visiting beneficiaries from overseas to the United States on how to access health care. Unless or until they switch their enrollment to a CONUS TRICARE region, their care is covered/coordinated by International SOS. To avoid being billed/charged for medical care, returning/visiting beneficiaries must switch/update their enrollment to a CONUS TRICARE region.

The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on Jan 30, 2026. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status. If you have a medical emergency, call 911.
