DPW office and Drop Off will be CLOSED Monday, September 7th.
Recycle, trash, and yard waste for Monday and Tuesday will both be collected on Tuesday. Trucks start at 7AM and could start on your street. Substitute drivers may run the routes differently than the usual drivers.

Downtown Window Decorating Contest
● FIRST PLACE- $100.00
● SECOND PLACE- $75.00
● THIRD PLACE- $50.00
Judging will take place on Thursday the 1st at 3:00 PM., and the winners will be announced at the open ceremonies at the Kidz Korner on Thursday at 5:30 PM.
If you would like to participate, please send an email with your name, business name and contact information to Stephanie Strothmann at [email protected]. You must send your information in order for your business to be considered for the contest.
The Trinity Lutheran Art Club will offer to paint the windows of up to 10 downtown businesses for the contest on Sunday, September 20 (rain date is Sunday, September 27).
This is a fundraiser for the art club, so the club will ask for a donation to their program in an amount that your business chooses.
If you are interested in having your windows painted prior to the festival, please contact Carrie Adler at [email protected].

A friendly reminder of proper disposal of sharps and needles. Residents are reminded not to flush needles, syringes, lancets or any other sharps down the toilets, sinks or drains. Sharps can travel through the sanitary sewer system and create potential safety hazards for collection system and treatment personnel, exposing them to puncture risks and blood borne pathogens. Please dispose of all sharps in an appropriate puncture resistant container following local Health Dept requirements.
Seymour Water Pollution Control would like to thank you for your cooperation on this matter.
