had the privilege of delivering 3 comfort bags to 3 elementary students in Seymour experiencing homelessness on Wednesday.

The new RJC duffle bag contained:

A new age-appropriate book
🧦Socks
🧼Hygiene items
🍪Snacks/treats
📖Coloring book
🖍Crayons
🛏Roll-Up Fleece blanket
💈Hair brush
💇‍♀️Hair ties/clips (for the girls)
🧸Stuffed animal

We hope these items give these children a bit of comfort and hope that things will get better.

Community friends and Neighbors READ Jackson County needs YOUR help NOW to keep Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of Jackson County going—our coffers are nearly empty. 😞

If we don’t get an influx of donations immediately, we will not be able to sustain the nearly 600 children who are currently getting a book mailed to them free every month.

This programs costs us about $1,200 monthly. We would hate to have to shut it down!!!
It’s an important literacy program in our community.
