The Seymour Fire Department regrets to inform you of the passing of active member Firefighter Dan Mudry.

Dan proudly served with the Great Hill Hose Company. He joined the Seymour Fire Department in August of 2024 after a long and distinguished career with the Ansonia Fire Department, where he served as Chief of the Department.

Please keep his wife Diane and the entire Mudry family in your thoughts during this difficult time.

On Thursday evening, we were proud to celebrate the many firefighters recognized at the annual National Exchange Club’s Salute to Connecticut’s Bravest at the Aqua Turf in Southington. The highlight of the evening was C2’s Captain Andrew Satkowski receiving his award, surrounded by his family and fellow firefighters.

Captain Satkowski’s dedication to our firehouse and community cannot be overstated, and we are thrilled to see him receiving recognition for that dedication. Congrats, Capt—we are proud to serve with you!

Now that the birdies, pars, and bogeys have been carded, the prizes have been won, and the golf clubs have been put away, it is vividly clear that the 2nd annual Citizens’ Engine Co. No. 2 Golf Tournament was a roaring success! That success simply would not be possible without the support of the friends, neighbors, and community which we proudly volunteer to serve.

Thanks to many generous contributions, C2 has a greater ability to expand our training opportunities, make necessary equipment upgrades, and ensure the sustainability of our community support activities such as our annual college scholarships and holiday-themed events throughout the year.  The best part of this tournament isn’t found at the bottom of an accounting ledger; it is the connection we find in-person with all of the amazing donors, sponsors, and golfers who participate in this wonderful event.

We take a great deal of pride in knowing that we have earned the respect of our community, and this tournament is yet another reminder of that status.  Please take a moment to recognize these sponsors and keep them in mind if their services could assist you. Thank you so very much for your generous support of Citizens’ Engine Co. No. 2, and we hope to see you all again at next year’s tournament!
