Friends of the Library - Baylor County We are nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to the preservation and progress of the Baylor County Free Library.

The American Library Association's Committee on Literacy defines literacy as "the ability to use printed and written information to function in society, to achieve one's goals, and to develop one's knowledge and potential." We feel this is the best overall description of success with our reading programs. The Friends of the Library is excited about encouraging new volunteers, developing
