CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SEYMOUR COMMUNITY HISTORICAL SOCIETY ON YOUR 5OTH YEAR OF KEEPING SEYMOUR'S PAST ALIVE.
Seymour Fire & Rescue are part of Seymour's history. Seymour Fire being established in 1910 and Seymour Rescue in 1974. We often wonder how the volunteers from the early days fought fires and responded to rescue calls with the equipment that they had then. Someday, there will be a generation who will wonder how we did it in 2026.
Thank you to all the historical society volunteers past and present who dedicated their time to reminding us all where our community started from and evolved to where we are today.
Come help us celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Seymour Historical Society at the Seymour Museum Saturday June 20th from 12-4pm. The will be music provided by the RNR band and Toni (Huettl) Fritz. The Sons of the American Legion and The 5 Guys food truck will be providing food. There will be speakers sharing information about the various displays in the museum and general store. Vintage farm machinery, tools, and clothing will be on display. There will kids outdoor games. The gift shop will be open and genealogy information will be available. We are looking forward to seeing you there.
