Who says math has to stay inside the classroom? Our students took their learning outdoors for a hands-on challenge—plotting rational and irrational numbers on a number line through relay races and sorting! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️➗

Learning, teamwork, movement, and a little friendly competition made for a great way to bring math concepts to life! We love seeing our Owls learning beyond the classroom!

At SMS, OWLS SHOW UP! Every day in school is another opportunity to learn, connect, and grow.

💡 DID YOU KNOW?
In Indiana, a student is considered chronically absent when they miss 10% or more of the school year—that's just 18 days in a 180-day school year, whether those absences are excused or unexcused.

Starting the day on time matters, too!

🚪 Doors open: 7:45 AM
🥞 FREE breakfast begins: 8:00 AM
🎒 Students released to class: 8:20 AM
⏰ Tardy bell: 8:30 AM

Arriving early gives students time to eat breakfast, get settled, and be ready to learn when the bell rings.

🎯 Our goal: 94% attendance or higher!
