The Village of Shabbona will have the following municipal seats up for election in the Consolidated Election on Tuesday, April 6, 2027: Village President (1 seat) and Board of Trustees (3 seats). Petition circulation begins Tuesday, August 25. https://www.shabbona-il.com/

Public Works will be flushing hydrants south of Route 30 on Wednesday 8/5 between 7am-3pm.
Residents may experience:
• Temporary discolored water or a slight drop in water pressure.
• The discolored water is not harmful and can typically be cleared by running cold water until it runs clear.
• To help prevent staining, avoid doing laundry while flushing is taking place in your area.

Thank you to all who came out to Shabbona's 4th of July and supported Shabbona Fire Department, all the crafters/vendors, not-for-profit organizations, and parade participants. It was a red, white & blue-tiful day right up until the afternoon rain storm.

Shabbona Fireworks has rescheduled fireworks at Shabbona Lake State Park for Saturday, July 11. Please follow their page for updates.
