Meet the farmers who put food on your plate! 🌽

The August F.A.R.M. Activity Bag is all about farmers! Who they are, what they do, and why they are so important to our food system. 🚜

Thanks to a Community Action Grant from the Meta DeKalb Data Center, the DeKalb County Farm Bureau Foundation is providing FREE, hands-on F.A.R.M. bags through local libraries. Each bag includes a family-friendly agricultural activity, supplies, step-by-step instructions, and a related reading piece. 📚🌱

Stop by your local library and pick up the August F.A.R.M. bag while supplies last! Bags are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with one bag per household.

Let’s learn a little more about the people who help put food on our tables! 💙

The Yarn Twisters are selling raffle tickets for these two handmade lap robes. All proceeds will go to the American Legion and the Flewellin Memorial Library!!! Raffle tickets can be purchased by stopping by the library, contacting Jan Schnorr, or Melanie Berg. Tickets are $1/each or 6 for $5. See less

Join us this upcoming Thursday, July 16th @ 1PM for Animals Around the World with Rico the Sloth!!! See and learn about many different animals and reptiles. This is a FREE program and ALL are welcome to attend!!! We will be located next to the Lion's Depot at Lion's Park. We look forward to seeing everyone!!!

Just a heads up, Leah, will not be here this upcoming Wednesday due to a Senior Health Fair. She will be back in August!!!

Flewellin Memorial Library is cancelled for this month due to the Senior Health Fair. Leah will return in August.
