Congrats Mr. Arista! Well deserved!

Today is the first day of Teacher Appreciation Week, and we're kicking it off by announcing the winner of our 90 minute hot stone massage giveaway: Mr. Josue Arista at Bettye Meyers Middle School!

We received over 180 nominations for this promotion and it was HARD to choose just one teacher to recognize. CLEARLY we have a LOT of very talented, dedicated, big hearted public school teachers in our area!

Ultimately, we chose Mr. Arista because of the beautiful words shared with us by those who nominated him. Mr. Arista works with students who have cognitive and adaptive disabilities, recently completed his teaching certification to become a full time teacher, helps coach the boys soccer team through Denton ISD's GOAL program, and has been described as "having the patience of an angel"

This week is Gifted & Talented Awareness Week in Texas! Gifted learners have unique academic and developmental needs. We recognize the educators who support these learners and the impact of gifted services in our school community.

April is School Library Month, which is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Ms. Ware and the important role our library plays in student learning. From fostering a love of reading to supporting research, creativity, and curiosity, the library is an essential part of our campus, and we are thankful for the dedication and care she brings that make it such a special place for students.
