This weekend, our members participated in search and rescue training throughout the Ohio Valley.

On Saturday, Firefighter Denver and Chief Fellows participated in Belmont County Rescue Team training outside of Flushing.

On Sunday, Firefighter Kovalo, Fiscal Officer Kirkpatrick, and Chief Fellows participated in training at Fernwood State Forest with the Jefferson County Technical Rescue Team.

We’re proud of our members for continuing to train and develop their skills so we can better serve our community and assist our neighboring departments when called upon. Great job to everyone involved!

A Flood watch has been issued south and west of Pittsburgh from this afternoon through early Thursday afternoon. Multiple rounds of showers and storms are expected overnight along a stalled boundary. Heavy rainfall can lead to flooding of low-lying areas, rivers/creeks and roads.

Delayed post: We’re excited to share highlights from two recent swearing-in ceremonies celebrating both new team members and a well-deserved promotion.

In May, we had the honor of swearing in Firefighter Tre Myers and promoting Jacob Greenwood to Lieutenant. In June, we welcomed Firefighter Kenzie Fielding to the team during her swearing-in ceremony.

Although we’re a little late in sharing the photos, we are proud to recognize these important milestones and the dedication each of them brings to our department.

Congratulations to all on these well-earned achievements—and a warm welcome to the team!

It’s Christmas in July for our department! We are excited to receive new fire hose purchased through a FEMA grant awarded to us last year. This upgraded equipment significantly enhances our operational readiness by improving reliability, durability, and water delivery efficiency during emergency response.

Soon, all of this hose will be loaded onto our apparatus, ensuring faster deployment on scene and safer, more effective firefighting operations. This investment directly strengthens our ability to protect lives, property, and the overall safety of our community.

Also a big shout out to Nationwide First Responder Grants for assisting us with the grant.
