😍City Spotlight is on Prior Lake!
Great parks. Beautiful lakes. A downtown with actual personality. Prior Lake checks a lot of boxes — which is probably why nearly every resident says they love living there.

The Scott County CDA celebrated a ribbon cutting for its newest Community Land Trust (CLT) homes in Shakopee. Partners from MN Housing, Met Council, Scott County, Shakopee Public Utilities, CenterPoint Energy, local legislators, architects, contractors, and more joined to mark the completion of the first three homes in this 10-lot subdivision.

We are excited to share that My Little Venture LLC, our 2025 Scott County Fast-Track Challenge Winner, is a 2026 Minnesota Cup Semifinalist!
There were 1,262 applications from across Minnesota. Ninety-two (92) companies (7.29%) were selected to move forward to the Semifinal Round in nine (9) categories. My Little Venture is one of ten companies in the Education & Training category.
Round 2 materials are due July 21, with finalists selected the first week of August, finalist pitches scheduled for August 25–27, and the Grand Finale on September 14. Best wishes to My Little Venture LLC!

Stars-of-the-Month share their work focus by presenting "A Day in their Life" here at the CDA. Understanding what your teammates are working on, presents opportunities for collaboration and improved service to the community.
May's Staff Spotlights educated us about the dedicated work that goes into our Accounting, what it takes to keep our properties in working order, and the intricate juggle of managing personnel, property, and the people who rent CDA properties. Our monthly all-staff meeting was truly eye opening and will continue throughout 2026!

The Scott County CDA only offers 5 Home Stretch Workshops each year. None are offered in Ukrainian, but we believe learning in your primary language is very important. So...
We accept Certificates from multiple agencies who offer Workshops in various languages. Ukrainian and Russian community members are encouraged to attend a workshop with information shared in your primary language, and the International Institute of MN will be offering that on May 30th from 9am - 5pm.
No Fee to attend. In-person workshop!

Scott County Community Development Agency (CDA) is excited to share that the CDA’s new Office and Legacy Central development was selected as the winner in the 🏆Government – Suburban category of the Minnesota Real Estate Journal Awards! 💚🩵

Each step of the way, staff was welcomed into the process and had a voice about theme colors, furniture, and required meeting space types. The whole staff is proud of our new building and love welcoming our clients into our warm, professional, and beautiful space!
