The Okaloosa County Property Appraiser’s Office will close early on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM, and will resume normal business hours on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 8:00 AM.

Please remember, the deadline to *file* for 2026 property tax exemptions is March 1, 2026 — not the end of the year. However, you must *qualify* by January 1, 2026. Qualification generally means you own and occupy the property as your permanent residence, or you have an effective disability date on or before January 1.
