UPDATE THREE:

Two men have been charged in connection with Friday's armed home invasion robbery at an apartment on Dancing Cloud Court in Destin.

Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office investigators arrested 27-year old Jared McCree of Destin and 24-year old Isaiah Webb of Fort Walton Beach.

Both men are currently being held in the Okaloosa County Jail in Crestview.

Deputies continue working to locate Taylor Robinson, who had been at the apartment during the time of the robbery but then left the scene.



TWO IN CUSTODY - SECOND UPDATE AS OF 4:33 P.M.

Less than 12 hours after an armed home invasion robbery at an apartment in Destin, Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office investigators have two people in custody in connection with the break-in. No one was injured during the incident, which took place around 5:30 a.m. today.

The OCSO is continues to try to locate 28-year old Taylor Robinson to verify her well-being after she left the scene. Investigators are requesting the public's asssistance with any information on her whereabouts.

Additional information will be released as the details on the two arrests become available.

UPDATED INFORMATION

We are actively working to locate 28 year old Taylor Nicole Robinson of Milton, who was at the location during this morning’s reported home invasion robbery on Dancing Cloud Court in Destin.

Robinson left the scene following the incident and has not yet been located. Investigators are seeking to make contact with her to confirm her well-being and ensure she is safe.

🚌 Stop means Stop!🛑

School is back in session, and that means more school buses—and more children getting on and off them.

In Florida, you must stop for a school bus displaying its stop signal and flashing red lights. Never pass a stopped school bus while children are loading or unloading.

🚨 Two-lane road: Drivers in BOTH directions must stop.

🚨 Multi-lane road with a paved median: Drivers traveling in the opposite direction of the bus may proceed with caution. Drivers traveling in the same direction MUST stop.

🚨 Divided highway with a raised barrier or unpaved median at least 5 feet wide: Drivers traveling in the opposite direction may proceed with caution. Drivers traveling in the same direction MUST stop.

Remember: Those few extra seconds are nothing compared to the life of a child.

Slow down. Stay alert. Stop for the bus. Arrive safe.

🚨 TIPS NEEDED – ROBBERY SUSPECT 🚨

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a robbery that occurred last night around 7pm at a business located on Eglin Parkway in Fort Walton Beach and is asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect pictured.

The suspect is described as a middle-aged white male wearing a gray jacket, tan shorts, and a surgical mask partially covering his face.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect fled the scene on a black motorcycle, possibly a Suzuki.

We are actively investigating a reported home invasion robbery at an apartment in the 4000 block of Dancing Cloud Court in Destin.

Two armed males reportedly entered the residence around 5:30 this morning and attempted to rob the occupants. There are no reported injuries at this time.

There is no known threat to the general public. Deputies and investigators are working to gather additional information and determine the circumstances.

It’s All About the Kids!

There’s nothing Sheriff Aden enjoys more than stopping by our local elementary and middle schools to see some of his favorite people—our kids!

A high-five here, a big smile there, a few questions and plenty of laughs!

He also takes the opportunity to check in with our amazing School Resource Officers, who spend their days looking out for these young faces and the teachers and staff who care for them.

Because sometimes, building a relationship with law enforcement starts with something as simple as a smile, a conversation and knowing your sheriff and SROs friendly faces.

To many in our community, Sergeant Denny is affectionately known simply as “OD” — short for “Officer Denny” — a nickname that became familiar to generations of students, parents, teachers, and staff during his many years serving as a School Resource Officer. 🏫⭐

Throughout nearly three decades with the OCSO, Sgt. Denny has dedicated his career to serving and protecting the citizens of Okaloosa County while making a lasting impact on countless young people along the way.
