The Waccamaw-Ash Center’s participant-led Garden Club has really grown! 🌱
The garden bed was fully constructed by our talented participants, and first assembled in June. Since then, participants have worked to maintain a beautiful garden daily throughout the months, which is now home to tomatoes, dill, and various kinds of peppers, as well as flowers. 🍅 Any and all participants are welcome to join, and if you’re lucky maybe you’ll be able to reap some of the fruit of our labor! 😉🌷

This week at the Southport Center, we gathered for something very meaningful—a Veterans Meet & Greet🤝

Veterans came together to share stories & enjoy the camaraderie that only Veterans understand, all while enjoying some sweet treats & coffee. The Southport Center's Veteran Honor Space stands as a permanent reminder of the dedication and sacrifices made by our service members.

This event was held because we believe gratitude shouldn’t be limited to one day in November. Every day is a good day to honor those who served.❤️

Our Leland Center was the place to be on Monday for the Fashion Show featuring bedazzles, sharp-dressed men, & lots of fun & flair🌟

A big thanks to our organizer, Novella Hasty, and our MC, Brittany Steinkamp, for making this such an awesome time for those who participated as well as those who watched the show! Our wonderful fashionistas stepped out in their finest attire and showed us that looking fabulous is always in style. 👠🕶️👔💃

The Supply Center has been busy already this week!

⛈️ We were fortunate to have Brunswick County Emergency Services join us for an informative presentation on storm preparedness. As we continue through hurricane season, we learned some much-needed tips and tricks for staying safe, prepared, and ready for whatever the season may bring!

🌭🎶 Today, we switched gears and enjoyed some good food and great company with grilled hot dogs and classic tunes! Nothing beats spending time together, sharing a meal, and listening to some old favorites.

Beyond her incredible talent and unforgettable music, Dolly will forever be remembered for her generous spirit and her unwavering belief in giving back. Through her advocacy for children's education and her efforts to put books into the hands of young readers, she created a legacy that will continue to touch generations for years to come.

Dolly reminded us that true beauty is found not only in how we carry ourselves through the years, but in how we lift others along the way.
