Currently the Sharon Hill Fire Company operates 2 Class A pumpers, a Mini Pumper, Spill Unit, QRS and a Command unit.

7/18/26 *Working Fire*

Engine 9 arrived FDE to a house fire in the 900 block of Poplar Avenue in the Briarcliffe section of Darby Township. Arriving crews had smoke showing from the second floor and deployed a 200’ hand line. Crews located the fire on the second floor rear bedroom. The fire was placed under control within 30 minutes.

*Delayed* 7/15/26 Scrap Yard fire

At 10am, the building fire was dispatched in Sharon Hill for the industrial park. Chief 9 arrived to find nothing showing from the park but had a column showing from Darby Township. The Sharon Hill assignment was requested to be sent to the investigation in Darby Township. Chief 9 arrived to find a large scrap metal pile on fire. ENG9 assumed FDE, hooked to the hydrant at the end of the main driveway and deployed a 2.5" portable monitor and the deluge gun. SD76 dropped a second supply line from the main entrance and supplied TW5, QT33 arrived and was placed with ENG9 for master streams. Crews were in service for approximately 5 hours.

Engine 9 arrived FDE to this house fire in the unit block of N. Wells Ave in Glenolden. Crews found fire in a pipe chase on the first floor with extension to the other floors. 2 hand lines were placed in service, crews were on scene for just over 2 hours.

We would like to congratulate 3 of our members for their graduation from high school.

Anthony D’Alesio graduated from Commonwealth Charter Academy and plans to pursue a career in emergency services. Anthony is already certified in Firefighter 1 Pro Board.

Arthur (AJ) Daniel graduated from Haverford High School and plans to attend the University of Pittsburg in the fall. AJ is already certified in Firefigher 1 Pro Board and National Registry EMT.

Christian (CJ) Givens graduated from Cardinal O’Hara High School and plans to pursue a career in emergency services. CJ is already certified in Firefighter 1 Pro Board and National Registry EMT.

5/30/26 *Cooking Fire*
Engine 9 arrived first due engine to the 1000 block of Pine Street in Darby Borough. Crews found smoke showing from the residence and deployed a handline. Police on scene advised a pan on fire, removed from the residence with no extension. Crews ventilated the residence and were released by 4 command.
