A notice from the Town of Royalton regarding Broad Brook Road that may affect Sharon residents and commuters.

***Broad Brook Road Closure***

The Town of Royalton has awarded the Broad Brook Road Slope Stabilization Project to Markowski Excavation. Broad Brook Road will be closed at the landslide (approximately 2510 Broad Brook Rd) starting on September 9th. The project will be completed no later than November 30th.

Residents on the south side of the closure traveling north will need to use the detour route on Allen Road and Howe Hill Road. Please contact the Royalton Town Administrator at 802-763-7967 with any questions.

Ballots will be sent to all active, registered voters for the upcoming General Election on November 3rd, 2026. Please take a moment to log into your Vermont voter page at https://vote.vermont.gov to be sure your mailing address is correct. If there is an error, please feel free to make the update.

The General Election Polling location will again be the Sharon Congregational Church.

There will be one ballot to vote on. (The August Primary decided who would be on this ballot)

You may return your ballot by mail, drop your ballot off in the ballot box outside the Sharon Town Offices, bring your ballot in to the Town Clerk, or bring your ballot to the polls to vote in person, on November 3rd.

Don't fret if you happen to notice the Sharon Welcome sign on the Common has disappeared!

We have sent it off for an overhaul. The new sign will look much like the current one, preserving its familiar style while giving it a fresh start!
