As students head back to school, it's the perfect time to talk about healthy relationships.

Learning about respect, consent, healthy boundaries, and dating violence prevention helps young people build safer relationships both now and in the future.

It's also important for students to know how to recognize warning signs and support a friend who may need help.

AWARE offers age-appropriate prevention education for middle school, high school, and college students, including Safe Dates and other youth-focused programs designed to encourage healthy relationships and respectful communication.

AWARE, Inc. is looking for a compassionate, dedicated Counselor Advocate to join our shelter program team. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence as they work toward safety, healing, and empowerment.

This position follows regular business hours:
Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
No overnight shifts

August is National Wellness Month, and wellness includes more than physical health. For survivors of abuse, the effects of trauma can impact sleep, increase stress, contribute to chronic pain, and affect emotional well-being.

Healing often involves caring for both the mind and body, and reaching out for support can be an important part of that journey. At AWARE, we provide free, confidential support for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, as well as their loved ones.

Thank you to the Mercer County community for joining us at our Human Trafficking Awareness Event. Your presence, support, and commitment to learning help strengthen our shared effort to keep individuals and families safe. 💜

A special thank you to Sammy Staples for taking time out of his busy schedule to speak about the importance of protecting our children. We are grateful for his meaningful message and dedication to this critical issue.

We also extend our sincere thanks to the AWARE staff members, Prince of Peace, Mercer County Food Bank, Mercer County Juvenile Probation, and Primary Health Network for participating in this important event. And thank you to Penn State for generously providing lunch.
