Looking for a responsible way to dispose of those hard-to-recycle items? A special collection event is happening Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 9 AM–1 PM at the Jefferson Township Municipal Building, 7407 Lamor Rd., Mercer, PA 16137.

Accepted items include:
📺 TVs, monitors & other electronics
🔋 Batteries & fluorescent lights
🧪 Household hazardous waste
🔥 Propane cylinders
🧊 Refrigerators, air conditioners & other appliances
🚗 Tires

Important: Registration is required for electronics and household hazardous waste and is limited to 200 vehicles. Register at Noble Environmental or call 412-567-6566.

Payment methods vary by item:
💳 Electronics & household hazardous waste — credit card only
💵 Appliances & tires — cash or check only

A little lettuce update! WestWinn Urban Ag will be at our market 8 AM - Noon this Wednesday and Saturday for you to get it fresh! You can also find their product at D'onofrio's Food Center and Webb Winery - both in Hermitage; and Great Depth's Seafood in Sharpsville. We love our fresh lettuce!

The Sharon Beautification Commission is holding another litter cleanup in and around Musser School Building this evening. Please meet at 5pm at the school's parking lot. Water, gloves, pickup sticks, and bags will be provided. New volunteers welcome! See you then!

The Buhl Day 2026 | Labor Day at Buhl Park Art Show is open to artists of all ages and experience levels within 75 miles of Buhl Park.

Artwork drop-off is Sunday, September 6, from 12–2 PM at the Buhl Park Casino, with the show taking place on Buhl Day.

Professional, amateur, young adult, and youth categories are available, with cash prizes awarded in each!
