FCC of Sharon Historic Building Preservation Project

FCC of Sharon Historic Building Preservation Project Working to bring the center of our community, built in 1839, into its second century and beyond!

The historic building that houses the First Congregational Church of Sharon was built on the site at 29 North Main St in 1839 after the original structure, built there in 1822, was destroyed in a fire in 1838. We are in Sharon's Historic District No. 1 and are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The steeple houses an original Revere Bell, made at the Revere Rolling Copper Mill in n

eighboring Canton, MA. Now on the cusp of entering its third century of providing a hub of both religious expression and community service, the building needs some help in return. The FCC Sharon community has undertaken a grand fundraising project to finance a number of projects, which we will highlight on this page. We would love to have you, our community at large, support this endeavor!
