Baxter Memorial Library invites the community to a special program on safely coexisting with black bears on Sunday, June 14, from 4:00โ5:00 p.m.
Vermont Coverts Cooperators Kevin Gish and Mary Stoddard will share information about black bear habits and habitats, along with practical strategies for preventing human-bear conflicts. Topics will include proper food storage, securing compost, protecting chickens, and responding safely to bear encounters. Participants will also learn how to address existing bear-related problems and reduce the likelihood of future conflicts.
This free program is open to all. For more information, contact the library at [email protected] or call 802-763-2875.
