One of the biggest misconceptions in policing is that leadership gets easier with experience.

It doesn't. The challenges simply change.

Whether you're a newly promoted sergeant, a seasoned lieutenant, a captain, or a chief, every leader eventually faces difficult personnel issues, accountability concerns, training deficiencies, culture problems, and decisions that can significantly impact their agency.

That's why Attorney Robert Meader and Chief Scott Hughes (ret.) created π‘ͺπ’π’Žπ’Žπ’‚π’π’… π‘Ήπ’†π’‚π’…π’š.

We'll discuss leadership, supervision, organizational culture, risk reduction, legal considerations, and lessons learned from decades of law enforcement experience.

If that's important to you or your agency, we'd love to see you in class.

This is such a tragedy that could have been prevented had the Hampton County courthouse and the judges done their job.

Once again we see judges, not enforcing the law like it should and now this mother has lost her life. As we have previously said this is not just a City of Cincinnati issue. This family for years has been a plague on the City of Norwood selling drugs, breaking into homes and businesses, assaults, weapons charges, and those are just the charges that I remember from my time as a police officer within the City of Norwood. Then came the time their home on Kenilworth Ave. was declared a nuisance by Hamilton County Court and demolished because of the amount of criminal activity that took place.

Yet because of the failure of these judges, this woman has lost her life. When will the citizens of Hamilton County hold these judges accountable as they hold our members accountable?

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims, family and friends in this devastating time and we ask for the best prosecution and the strongest outcome possible by law, as this case proceeds through the criminal justice system this victim her family and the City of Norwood have been through enough with this criminal family, for too many decades!

Rich Krummen
President
FOP Lodge 74
Norwood Police Department, Retired
