Everyone's favorite girl, Sonnet, paid us a visit at Touch a Truck. If you have never met her, she is an arson dog for our fire department. She works hard and is a valued member of the team!

Why is she in the back of our police car, you ask? She was cited for being TOO CUTE!

Officer Hayes and his trusty sidekicks have been busy with multiple graduations!

Students at Sharonville Elementary, Stewart Elementary, and St. Michael School were awarded with certificates of completion for the D.A.R.E. program! These kids have been working hard, learning about the consequences of drug abuse, decision-making, conflict-resolution, and more. We are proud of their dedication to this program, and we hope the skills and knowledge they have gained are applied throughout their lives.

Congrats, kids!

We wanted to blast a message out to all the drivers out there after noticing an uptick in accessible parking violations:

๐Ÿ“ฃPlease do not use a removable windshield placard that is not yours.๐Ÿ“ฃ

Our officers run the placard number and if it does not return to your name and the owner is not with you, you can receive a citation. If you are picking up food or items for a loved one that owns the placard, they are sitting at home, and you are the only person in the car, you can get a citation... even if you are just "running in".

The placard does not exist to make YOUR grocery trip quicker- these placards are issued to people who have disabilities that limit or impair their ability to walk into the store. The conditions they have could range from anything like severe heart or lung disease, to back and leg issues and many more. Disabilities are not always obvious to the eye, but what is obvious to us is a windshield placard that does not return to your name.

๐Ÿ’™We want individuals with limited mobility or those who need additional space to safely enter and exit their vehicle to have access to convenient, accessible parking so daily life can be a little easier and more comfortable for them.

If you need to apply for a windshield placard for yourself, PLEASE visit the link below for some helpful information:

Our very own Officer KC Roberts spoke at Patriot Pointe on Memorial Day.
KC endured a long deployment while employed here with us, and we are so proud of his dedication to our country and to our wonderful City of Sharonville.

Thank you, KC, for taking the time to speak to honor those that have made the ultimate sacrifice. Because of these heroes, we are able to enjoy the freedoms we cherish every day. We hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend spent with family, friends, and appreciation for the freedoms that come with being an American.
