Good morning citizens, we kindly request that everyone exercise caution when driving through the intersection of Leadmine Bend Road and Sharps Chapel Road due to the annual fall roadblock. We appreciate all donations and support from the citizens of Sharps Chapel and look forward to continuing to serve you.

Mourning the loss of one of our own members is never easy. We ask you to remember the family first in this time of mourning.

Firefighter Andrew Woods was a dedicated member of the Sharps Chapel Volunteer Fire Department responding to numerous calls over his years of service. Andrew’s love for firefighting was remarkable, always keeping a smile on his face no matter the circumstances at hand. We as a fire department want to say thank you Andrew for your dedication and determination to protect the community even on their worst days.

As a fire department we want the community to be able to stop by and see just how big a heart you had to serve your community. We as a fire department have set up a memorial in remembrance of Firefighter Andrew Woods that is open to the public.

We ask that any donations that are made be made either by mail or by hand delivery to any fire department member that is present in the building at the time of donation.

In conclusion we ask that you as a community pray to surround Andrew’s family in comfort in this hard time. Andrew may be gone but he will never be forgotten. We as a fire department greatly appreciate your dedication and determination to serving your community well. We have it from here sir.

Our hearts are broken this morning after hearing the saddening news of the passing of Andrew Woods. We thank you for your years of dedication and commitment to the Sharps Chapel VFD and the Union County Sheriff’s Department. Andrew always went above and beyond for any call he responded to. We send our deepest condolences to the woods family in this difficult time. Rest easy 520 we got it from here sir.
