June 13, 2026 - 60th Anniversary Celebration
Members of Company 11, members from surrounding companies, state delegates, county commissioners, members of the community, and many others gathered together to celebrate 60 years of the company.
We want to Thank everyone who came out and joined us. This post would be too long to Thank each person that had a part in making the day a success! It was an awesome day!
Most importantly, We would also like to Thank each of you who have served or supported Potomac Valley Fire Company in any way over the last 60 years. Whether a little or a lot, it has played an important part into where the company is today. Talking to the founding members that are still with us, they would never have imagined 60 years ago that the company would be where it is today. We wouldn’t be where we are without our members, our government supporting us, and most importantly the citizens who support us.
“The Potomac Valley Fire Company was established in 1966 when a group of citizens realized after a fire, that there was a need for fire protection in the Dargan area. From that day on, everyday citizens have stepped up to serve the community as a member of the Potomac Valley Fire Company. Together, these citizens provide the community with 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year Fire, Rescue, EMS, and Special Operations services along side our dedicated career staff. All of this could not be done without the outstanding job of fundraising efforts by our non-responding/support staff membership. Together this group of dedicated volunteers (and Department of Emergency Services career staff) work everyday and night to make sure our citizens are safe. 60 years of service takes alot of help from our community through the support of our fund drives and fund raisers, without the support from you the community, We could not do what we do, Thank You.
