Shaw ALS

Shaw ALS We at ALS are committed to helping every student gain the skills, attitude, and knowledge necessary to become a leader in today’s Air Force.

ALS seeks to provide students with an environment of military educational excellence. We accomplish this through planning of the educational program, effective use of facilities, and continuous training of the faculty. We, at ALS, strive to meet the following objectives:
• Emphasize the role of the supervisor in the Air Force
• Increase self-confidence and professional knowledge
• Promote high sta

ndards of duty performance, bearing, and behavior
• Encourage individuals to assume leadership and supervisory responsibilities on the job and in the community
• Instill a greater sense of personal regard for the welfare of all Airmen
• Enhance the position, prestige, and dignity of enlisted people

Professional Military Education is affiliated with the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF). The college serves Air Force enlisted personnel by combining on and off duty education into associate degree programs designed around Air Force Specialties. Established in 1972, CCAF is accredited by the Commission of Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Our school has become part of the CCAF College System by demonstrating quality curricula, excellent instructional personnel and techniques, and a quality environment for college-level learning. CCAF awards graduates 9 semester hours towards their degree program. This page is intended to provide updated information and discussion on SMSgt David B. ** UPDATE**
Thank you SSgt Ross for providing the schoolhouse with a grill! We greatly appreciate your donation and plan to make great use of it.🫡

🔥 Help Us Fuel Airmen Success! 🔥

The Airman Leadership School is seeking support from our amazing community! We're looking for a donation of a new grill to enhance student morale, foster camaraderie, and provide opportunities for team-building events throughout the course.

A grill would allow us to host cookouts and morale events that strengthen relationships, build esprit de corps, and create a positive learning environment for the future leaders of our Air Force.

If you or your organization would like to support our students through a donation, please send us a message for more information.

Thank you for helping us invest in the development and well-being of our Airmen!

Today we recognize and bid farewell to SSgt Julianna Wilson as she departs from the SMSgt David B. Reid Airman Leadership School cadre team but not without celebrating an incredible achievement.

During her time as an instructor, SSgt Wilson earned her Master Instructor Badge (MIB), a distinction achieved by only 5% of 8T000s. This accomplishment speaks volumes about her expertise, dedication, and commitment to developing the next generation of Air Force leaders.

Her impact on countless Airmen will not be forgotten. Through her mentorship, professionalism, and passion for teaching, she has set a standard of excellence that will continue to inspire long after her departure.

While we’re sad to see her go, we couldn’t be more proud of all she’s accomplished and excited for what’s ahead. Thank you for everything you’ve given to this team and to every Airman you’ve helped shape.

Best of luck with your next chapter! 🇺🇸

Wrapping up the week strong at the SMSgt David B. Reid Airman Leadership School! 💪

Our amazing students pushed through a challenging ruck, gave back to the community by volunteering at the Clinic Classic 5K, and is now leaving a lasting impact right here on base. From painting a new mural to revamping the fellowship gazebo, these Airmen continue to show what leadership, teamwork, and service are all about.

We are proud to be apart of the dedication, resilience, and heart displayed all week long, this is what it means to lead from the front. Keep up the good work Class 26-4!🇺🇸
