Shawano County has officially launched our new Master Planning website, and we’re excited for you to check it out!

So, what’s happening? The County Board is taking a thoughtful look at the future of several key facilities: the courthouse, jail and sheriff’s office, work release center (Huber), and county library.

These buildings have served us well — but like anything with a few birthdays under its belt, they need some attention.

We’re evaluating both short-term fixes and long-term solutions, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and being responsible with taxpayer dollars.

A professional design team has assessed current building conditions and is helping outline practical, cost-effective options.

🖥️ Want the details (and we mean all the details)?
The new website includes:
✔ Project background
✔ Building assessments
✔ Options being considered
✔ Tax impact information
✔ FAQs

**DRUG DISPOSAL BOX**

Here at the Sheriff's Office, we have a permanent drug disposal box which is open 24/7/365. It is right inside the front door of our office and is always open to the public! We encourage our community to continue to use this resource and properly dispose of your medications. Keep them out of the wrong hands and keep them out of our water supply systems.
