✨ Flashback Friday! ✨

Fridays are for fun memories from this past school year!
Let's enjoy these flashbacks from the past together!!

Today is a look back at when some of our Middle School Choir students made Valentine’s Day even more special when they surprised their Choral Director, Mrs. Koz, at her wedding at Stubborn Brothers. What a special moment! ❤️

Why are facility projects continuing while budget reductions are happening?

The answer is the difference between a capital referendum and an operational referendum.

Shawano voters approved a capital referendum in 2024 to fund building and facility improvements. By law, those funds can only be used for approved construction and maintenance projects, not daily operating expenses like student programming, staffing, transportation, utilities, or student programs.

This third article in our “Making Sense of School Finances” series explains how the 2024 capital referendum helped address facility needs and by doing so, reduced pressure on the operating budget and further budget cuts.

We encourage you to take a few moments to review the article below:

Throwing it back to parade days and unforgettable moments riding through town with the roof down, waving to the crowd, and feeling the excitement all around. There was nothing quite like the cheers, the smiles, and the pride of being part of it all.

Forever grateful for those parade-day traditions and memories that still bring a smile. ❤️

🎨🦴 Learning came to life in our Summer School Spanish class!

As students explored the fascinating parts of the body, they put their knowledge into action by creating and labeling their very own skeletons. This hands-on activity combined creativity with learning, making for an engaging and memorable experience.

What a fun way to build new skills and spark curiosity this summer! 🌟

🥞🎨 Flipping out over these creations!

Our Creative Chefs summer school class combined cooking and creativity by making pancake art! Students used their imaginations, and a little batter, to design edible masterpieces before enjoying their delicious creations.

🌟 Exciting progress is taking shape!

Elisha Wagenson - Director of Learning and Danielle Evans - Family & Consumer Science teacher - had the opportunity to tour the new Family & Consumer Science classrooms. These updated learning spaces will provide students with modern, hands-on environments to develop valuable life skills, explore career pathways, and engage in real-world learning experiences.

We're grateful to our community for supporting this important work and making these improvements possible. Every step of construction brings us closer to opening spaces designed to inspire learning, creativity, and real-world experiences for our students.
