🚫 During the Burn Ban, it is unlawful to:
• Set fire to any forest, grass, range, crop, or other wild lands
• Build a campfire or bonfire
• Burn trash or other materials that could cause a wildfire

🚨🔥 BURN BAN IN EFFECT 🔥🚨

The Pottawatomie County Board of Commissioners proclaimed that EXTREME FIRE DANGER exists in Pottawatomie County.

📅 Burn Ban Effective: August 18, 2026 – September 1, 2026

🚫 During the burn ban, it is unlawful to:

• Set fire to any forest, grass, range, crop, or other wild lands
• Build a campfire or bonfire
• Burn trash or other materials that could cause a wildfire

👮 ENFORCEMENT: Any law enforcement officer of the State of Oklahoma may enforce this resolution.

⚖️ PENALTIES: A person convicted of violating the burn ban may be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to:

• A fine of up to $500
• Imprisonment for up to 1 year
• Or both

🔥 With extreme fire danger across the county, please do your part to help prevent wildfires. Do not burn while the burn ban is in effect.
